PRIOR to him faking his death, Phil Mitchell was given a huge bombshell when Sharon Watts confessed her love.
Despite his former wife's declaration, the EastEnders baddie is set to give his partner Kat Slater a special ring.
The beloved character played by Steve McFadden has been back in the Square only for a few days and is already stirring up trouble.
Recent scenes of Phil being back in Albert Square have shown him kissing Sharon Watts (portrayed by Letitia Dean) before he found out she was back in touch with his brother Grant.
Feeling betrayed (Sharon already drove a wedge between the brothers in the past), he stormed out.
This was despite his former wife trying to explain she had only contacted him when she believed he would be murdered.

Minutes later, he was back at Kat Slater's (Jessie Wallace) side, declaring his unwavering love for her.
New shots have since emerged and, according to them, the couple are turning their attention to wedding plans.
Kat and Phil are seeing chatting, with the latter seemingly serious about tying the knot with her.
The owner of Kat's Cabs is clearly over the moon when they manage to set a date.

And, soon enough, Phil presents her with a very special engagement ring.
But could Sharon get in between them after it was revealed she still harboured feelings for Phil?
BBC One viewers know Phil agreed to live as a free man, on the condition he works as a police informant for DCI Samantha Keeble.
But before he could walk out of prison, he had to fake his death as fellow inmate Craig promised him a grisly end behind bars.

Seemingly ready to breathe his last, Phil had another secret visit from Sharon and gave her letters to hand out to his closest relatives.
When she realised he was about to meet his maker, Sharon begged Phil to take Samantha Keeble's deal, unaware he actually would, and confessed she still loved him.
Earlier, she had been accused by Phil's sister Sam of having an emotional affair with him.
But it was only when Kat realised she had been visiting Phil in prison, during a shooting at Peggy's, that Sharon got into trouble with her new pal.
Both women have since struggled to keep their cool when talking to each other, and Kat even decided to put an end to her relationship with Phil because of the love triangle.
