One episode this year saw a flash-forward to Christmas Day 2023 with six women standing around a dead body with very little clues as to who it is.

But now, one eagle-eyed fan has taken to TikTok to share their theory, and they've collected a lot of evidence to back it up.

Taking to TikTok, a user going by the name of Tullz said: "I think I've figured out who dies at Christmas. It's not Ravi, it's not Nish, it's not Theo, this is who I think it is."

He explains that in the flash forward scene, East 17's Stay Another day is playing in the background while a fire is cracking behind Stacey, whose hands are covered in blood.

He then shared a clip from the Christmas Day episode in 2019, where a fire is cracking and the same song is playing – only for the camera to zoom in on Martin.

Explaining his thoughts, Tullz said: "Whether it's a coincidence or not I don't know, but EastEnders are really good at doing these Easter Eggs and I think this is what it is."

The theory of what happens is that Theo threatens Stacey in the Vic and the six women all rush to her defence, but Martin comes in and tries to help her.

He explained that he doesn't think the women kill Martin, but Theo off-screen after a brawl between the pair.

Stacey's hands would be wet with blood from trying to save Martin, and it would explain why Denise – who is stood next to Stacey – is holding a broken bottle of champers after perhaps rushing to her defence.

But while the theory is solid, it still remains to be seen and viewers won't find out the true identity of the victim until Christmas Day.
