Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) mum Emma (Patsy Kensit) returns to EastEnders this coming week, and it’s very clear she’s going to cause problems for a number of Walford residents.
We met Emma during Lola’s final storyline in the show, which eventually saw her die after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. She revealed the reasons why Lola ended up in care and also caused trouble for Jay (Jamie Borthwick), and then attended her daughter’s funeral.
Before Emma left Albert Square, she gave Lexi (Isabella Brown) her phone number and in upcoming episodes, Jay discovers that the young girl has been texting her grandma.

When Emma makes her way back to Walford, she tells Jay that Lexi has been messaging her for weeks and that she’s really worried about her.
Jay throws Emma out, but Callum (Tony Clay) says that it might be best to listen to her for Lexi’s sake, just in case she is struggling.
He then learns that Emma was being truthful about Lexi texting her after all.
Jay reads the anguished messages from Lexi, who says that she contacted Emma because she didn’t want to upset her dads any further.
In the week, Emma continues to push for access to Lexi, which Jay reluctantly allows.
During an emotional chat, Emma promises to never leave Lexi again, but Ben (Max Bowden) arrives and soon destroys her hopes.
As Ben and Jay clash once more, will they remember that Lexi is the focus and should prioritise what she wants?
If Jay continues to let Emma see Lexi, will he end up regretting it if she causes more trouble?
