Emmerdale family ripped apart after Mack’s baby bombshell

Emmerdale: Nate and Mack have conversation about the baby

In recent scenes in Emmerdale, Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) was left heartbroken after doctors told her to prepare for the worst when baby Reuben was rushed to hospital.

The young mum also ordered Mackenzie away when he tried to visit his son at the hospital.

She told Mack he couldn’t be a father to their son because it would raise suspicions with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

However, in official spoilers released by ITV, the truth will finally be exposed, sending shockwaves through the village.

When Mack goes to visit Reuben in the hospital, Charity shows up and sees her husband cradling Reuben.

The pub owner instantly puts two and two together and is left completely heartbroken by the news.

The news quickly spreads through the village, and Mack ends up confessing all to his sister, Moira (Natalie J Robb).

Chloe also comes clean to her sibling Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson), who is left mortified.

Mack is ashamed as Moira pieces his months of lies together, but her words eventually leave him spurred on to fix things with Charity.

When Amy arrives at the hospital for cuddles with Reuben, self-loathing Chloe breaks the news that Mack is his father and Amy can’t believe what Chloe’s done.

As a result, the duo’s confession could end up ripping more than one family apart.

Will Moira and Amy be able to forgive their sibling’s lies?

In a recent interview, the actress who plays Charity discussed how the landlady reacts to the baby bombshell.

She teased Charity could end up seeking revenge on her husband and Chloe.

Speaking with Express.co.uk, the actress said: “The reveal is just shocking. Is she gonna take revenge because she’s like that?”

“There’s got to be some level of vengeance,” she added. “But a lot of it comes in the form of humour with Charity because she is trying to mask the real hurt by throwing out ridiculous insults.

“I think she has such issues with trust with what she’s been through as a teenager.

“And again, I think that’s going to be even more exacerbated by the fact that she took Chloe under a wing and she can almost see a reflection of herself in this young teenage girl being pregnant.”

She added: “So I think she’ll be like, ‘Why did nobody tell me?'”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
