Emmerdale fans demand cheating hypocrite is axed after sex confession | The Sun

BOB Hope was left in hospital to recover from a heart attack after a heated altercation with Liam Cavanagh.

But during last night's instalment of the ITV soap, Emmerdale fans are demanding bosses give him the axe. Here's why.

The B&B owner portrayed by Tony Audenshaw was convinced Wendy Posner's affair with the hunky GP was still going on during Monday's (August 14, 2023) trip to the Dales.

Soap viewers were left in shock when Bob decided to confront Liam and punched him in the face.

Unfortunately, the stress eventually got to him and Bob was rushed to hospital when he suffered from a heart attack.

In Tuesday's (August 15, 2023) instalment of the Yorkshire-based drama, Bob was seen recovering from his health setback in a hospital bed as Wendy (Susan Cookson) paid him a visit.

The nurse sat at the foot of her partner's bed as they shared an X-rated conversation during which Bob admitted he had been suffering from erectile dysfunction in recent months, which explained their lack of intimacy.

Viewers were left horrified by the revelation and took to social media to put the couple on blast.

"Anyone else just sick of hearing about Bob and Wendy's sex life? Why are these producers so sex obsessed when it comes to the relationships on this show", one of them wrote.

"Oh god, do we need Bob & Wendy's sex life too, think I prefer wailing Wendy", another chimed in while a third added: "I think that Wendy and Bob should be really explicit with each other."

"They could have put tonight's show on after 9pm and spent the whole episode on erectile dysfunction as part of a sex education plan."

A fourth viewer deemed the conversation to be "TMI."

Many other soap fans stated that Bob, a resident of the eponymous village for over two decades, simply got a taste of his own medicine as the love rat has been known for his share of illicit romances.

"Bob is a hypocrite", one social media user fumed, "he cheated on women in the past. He is just bitter Wendy is attracted to Liam the hunk. I like Liam please don't kill off the hot doctor."

"Bob is seriously getting on my nerves what a hypocrite acting like a victim moping around as if he's never cheated how many failed relationships and marriages has he had due to him constantly cheating and can't keep it in his pants I know it's only a soap", another jumped in.

"And just how many times has Bob cheated, even when married? Do these writers forget the history of the characters when writing for them?", a third fan asked.

Sadly, just as it appeared the couple were on the right track towards reconciliation, Bob made it clear he was in no way ready to forgive Wendy for her affair.

Despite her protests, Bob brutally ended the relationship but actor Tony Audenshaw has stated he is hopeful to see them back together.

"He hates Liam with a vengeance and blames it largely on Liam. He keeps getting wound up. We keep seeing angry Bob, which we see every few years."

He continued: "I do hope Bob and Wendy stay together, yes. I think you're going to see, over the next few weeks and months maybe, the relationship building coming out of the drama and upset."

"Obviously there was a problem there, quite a few problems that were tacit and not being spoken about."
