Emmerdale fans ‘expose’ character behind Charity, Chloe and Mack’s horror crash

Emmerdale: Manpreet apologises after Charles attacked Tom

During the latest instalment of Emmerdale, B&B owner Bob Hope (played by Tony Audenshaw) sat two couples who hate each other side-by-side for romantic dinner dates.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and her date Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) were seated on a table next to her ex Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Chloe Ellis (Jessie Elland).

Bob’s not a fan of Liam after finding out his partner, Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), was having an affair with the village doctor behind his back.

He even made Liam foot Chloe and Mack’s bill as well as his and Charity’s after the latter admitted she was using him all along.

The tension between the two couples could be cut with a knife during their meals and it was clear Charity still had feelings for her ex, Mack.

Was this part of Bob’s plan to hurt Liam and get revenge after he’d slept with Wendy for months on end?

ITV viewers took to social media with their theories on the episode which aired ahead of Super Soap Week.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Matt wrote: “A bit out of order that Bob #Emmerdale.”

Meanwhile, a viewer called Kelly added: “Wow Bob you are nasty #Emmerdale.”

Danni added: “Why did Bob do Liam dirty like that, Mack and Chloe are freeloaders! #Emmerdale.”

Another viewer wrote: “Bob knew that Mack and Charity had badly split up so why did he place them next to each other?”

Owen shared: “And why would Bob tell Mack and Chloe that Liam will cover their bill?#Emmerdale.”

Trojan remarked: “Go on Bob! Why did I ever think any of that was an accident? Bob absolutely made the dinner s**t on purpose #emmerdale.”

Emmerdale fans know Charity, Mack and Chloe will be involved in a horrifying car crash later this month as part of Super Soap Week. It is not certain who, if anyone, will survive the smash.

Could Bob or Liam be in the car which collides with the one Chloe is driving?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
