Emmerdale: Aaron wants his money from Vinny
Emmerdale fans were less than impressed with the apparent exit of Bernice Blackstock (played by Samantha Giles).
Earlier this year, it was announced Bernice would be leaving the ITV soap after 25 years.
It seems her exit occurred in the most recent episode, which saw Bernice’s dark secret exposed.
The villager has been hiding something lately, and it emerged on Friday she’d taken out a huge loan in her sister Nicola King’s (Nicola Wheeler) name.
After finding bailiffs taking her things, a baffled Nicola discovered a note from Bernice announcing she had gone for good.

However, it seems fans of the soap were expecting more from the departure of a stalwart character.
Taking to Twitter, formerly known as X, @JamieSummersTV simply wrote: “That’s Bernice gone, then #Emmerdale.”
@_Kax_x asked: “So, Bernice has officially left? #Emmerdale.”
@roscoeleebarnes fumed: “What a ridiculously low-key exit for Bernice #Emmerdale.”

“That was a bizarre exit for Bernice! #Emmerdale,” @geordiegalg complained.
@TweetPeepGhost added: “As an exit for Bernice that was c**p #Emmerdale use some imagination please!!!!!!!!!!” (sic)
However, others praised the quick ending to the story.
@MattZeeMiller commented: “Thought it was going to be another dragged out storyline… but [at] least know fast about Bernice’s antics and with Bernice dressed in stand out pink outfit not gonna take long to find her in the village #Emmerdale.” (sic)
Upon reading the note, a baffled Nicola gasped: “No, no… She’s gone.
“It was Bernice – the money, the bailiffs, she took out a loan in my name for £20,000.
“She did this and now she can’t face me so she’s done a runner.”
Could that really be it for Bernice? She may not be seen in the village again, or perhaps it turns out Nicola reports her to the police and she’s arrested.
Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
