Emmerdale viewers spotted a hilarious connection between the ITV soap and its sister channel ITV2's mainstay reality dating series Love Island during the latest episode, on Wednesday 28 June.
The surprising scene came as a result of a fraught conversation between Amelia Spencer and her boyfriend Noah Dingle outside in the village.
Noah has been getting fed up of Amelia's obsession with her phone, and he tried to talk to her about why she's constantly glued to her screen, but Amelia was immediately turned off.
As Wednesday's episode started with a fuming Amelia storming away from Noah, who looked completely deflated, Sarah Dingle stepped in to advise her cousin.
Noah told his family member what had happened at dinner the night before, but Sarah merely laughed.
"You'll give her the ick," she warned Noah, who seemed completely puzzled over why.
As Noah seemed unsure, Sarah then declared cheekily: "You better get grafting," before walking off.
While Noah didn't pick up on the obvious connection to the oft-used language of the islanders, viewers immediately did.
"Ick and grafting…. Sarah's been watching #LoveIsland then lol #Emmerdale," one fan tweeted.
Another joked: "'The ick' 'grafting' love islands at nine #emmerdale."
"OMG the ick, that's definitely Love Island speak #emmerdale," a third person declared.
While others laughed about the teenagers' bringing the popular relationship terms into their vocabulary all the way up in the Dales.
Others were getting frustrated with Amelia's obsession with social media, as one person said: "Emmerdale time Amelia dojng my head in about her followers and Sarah shut up. Noah right she rude being on phone constantly #Emmerdale."
Rather than follow Sarah's advice, Noah took his annoyance even further and he spied on Amelia's phone to find out what she was so concerned with looking at.
The teenager then told Amelia's dad Dan Spencer that he believed Amelia was secretly getting inappropriate messages from strange men.
Furious and having lost all trust for Noah when she found out what he'd done, Amelia screamed that she wanted him to get out of her house, as fans will have to wait and see if the pair are done for good.
Elsewhere, Jai Sharma had a complete meltdown as he continues on his upsetting journey after finding out he was adopted.
Emmerdale continues weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV
