Emmerdale fans work out Faith Dingle link to Frank Tate was shared 5 years ago

Emmerdale fans reckon Faith Dingle's link to Frank Tate was revealed five years ago in a previously aired scene from the ITV soap.

Viewers were left in shock when it was revealed that Caleb Dingle was the son of Faith and Home Farm legend Frank Tate – but that he was given away as a baby when Faith gave birth in prison.

Faith knew that her partner Shadrach Dingle was not the father of her baby and decided to give her baby up for adoption.

However Caleb has since discovered the truth about his parents and has come back to Emmerdale to win back his birthright – Home Farm – from Frank's ex-wife Kim Tate.

Fans now think they have worked out that Emmerdale revealed Faith's link to Frank in a previously aired scene.

In 2018, Frank's ex-wife Kim Tate was pushed off a balcony at Home Farm following her return after 20 years – with the culprit later revealed to be Faith.

It was presumed that Faith pushed Kim as there was a rivalry between the Tates and the Dingles, but now fans think that Faith could have pushed her in an act of revenge after Kim framed Frank and then left him to die.

Kim had two separate affairs and later faked her death, making it appear that Frank had killed her so that he was sent to prison.

He was later released, but Kim made a shock return and following a heated row, Frank suffered a heart attack but Kim refused to help him and he sadly died.

Could the 2018 scene have foretold what was to come, as Caleb prepares to take the next steps in his plot and take back Home Farm from Kim?

While it has not been confirmed, Caleb actor Will Ash has promised that the upcoming storyline is set to be "explosive" as the Tates and Dingles go head to head.

He said: "It could be a bit of a burden for them both as there's a foot in both families.

"It's really clever that they’ve used that device to see how much disruption these characters can cause. There’s always been that clash between the Tates and the Dingles but it will really ramp it up now!

"It’s really big what Caleb and Nicky are attempting to do so there are a lot of fireworks ready to go off."
