Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) and his partner Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) have been through a lot in recent months on Emmerdale. ITV viewers felt for the couple when they lost their baby, and Charity has been pushing her lover away as she grieves. Mack took the unwise decision to cheat on Charity, and fans think they have worked out who the mystery woman is.
Mack has been trying to keep his affair a secret but he received a mysterious phone call which sounded as it if was from the woman in question.
“Why are you ringing me?” Mack snapped as he aggressively answered the phone.
“Yeah yeah I’m going on holiday – not that I need to explain anything to you.”
Before hanging up, he added: “Look, you promised you’d stay quiet so just stick to it, alright?”
Charity and Belle were in the room moments before Mack received the mysterious phone call so the latter has been ruled off the list of suspects by fans.
Many are convinced Noah Dingle’s (Jack Downham) ex-girlfriend Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) bedded Mack.
Viewers have been sharing their theories on Twitter following the episode, with Ryan commenting: “If it’s not Belle who Mack slept with then I think it’s Chloe. #Emmerdale.”
“Chloe’s ringing Mack #Emmerdale,” Pete Leo penned. “My money is on Chloe.”
Joanne added: “Hmmm not Belle then, must be Chloe #Emmerdale.”
TV Juice remarked: “It’s clearly Chloe, you have seen her arm and her nails but it’s weird that after being stalked by Noah she is now stalking Mack.”
Eleanor Griffiths commented: “I reckon Mack slept with Chloe, none of the Dingles would do that to Charity. Laurel could be a contender!”
Cinders added: “I think Mack has slept with Chloe because she was the same with Nate when she slept with him it’s just why keep texting Mack it’s classic Chloe I think? #Emmerdale.”
Noah, who is Charity’s son, ended up serving time behind bars after he started stalking Chloe when she ended their relationship.
Charity was the person who supported Chloe and reported her son to the police at the time.
She would be left mortified if her son’s ex-partner was the person Mack had cheated on her with.
Will Mack come clean to Charity or will he try and take his secret to the grave?
Mack recently opened up to his friend Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) about his adultery but has not given away any names.
However, Nate tried to get more details from Mack and asked: “Is it someone I know? Because if it’s someone from around here, it’ll come out somehow.
“I thought my secret was safe and she lived miles away. You’re going to be bumping into your secret every day in the pub, the pub that Charity runs.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
