Emmerdale viewers have figured out a way for fan-favourite character Joe Tate to return to our screens in time for the ITV soap's 50th anniversary.
Joe, played by Ned Porteous, left the soap back in 2018 after Graham Foster's death, escaping the country after faking his own passing and leaving Debbie Dingle devastated.
But he could soon be back, along with another character who was confirmed to still be alive – Jamie Tate, Kim's son.

And fans think he could be up to no good, even teaming up with Jamie to finally end Kim's life at her wedding to Will Taylor.
Taking to Twitter, one eagle-eyed fan theorised: "While we all want Joe Tate back in # Emmerdale I feel like the 50th anniversary could be a good time, and maybe he helps kill Kim?
"Jamie’s supposed to come back anyway so maybe Joe is in on it and helps take her down at her wedding?!"
The distraught user added: "I just want him back in my life okay!" with a row of crying emojis.
Others are equally desperate to see Joe return, with one Facebook user writing: "Never mind coming back for the 50th anniversary, I would love it if Joe was back permanently!"
"Would be nice to see him and Debbie get back together," someone else echoed.
While a fourth fan gushed: "It would be nice to see him back in Emmerdale!"
Someone else, meanwhile, had a rather out-there theory about Joe and Graham both being alive – that Kim had dreamed Graham's death.
They tweeted: "Remember when Kim fell off the balcony and knocked herself out. Imagine she is dreaming all this s**t. Graham, Joe, Faith etc all alive and well Aaron still with Liv!"
It comes after a slew of cast returns have been confirmed by ITV, including Danny Miller as Aaron and Elizabeth Estensen as Diane Sugden.
Tracy Metcalfe, played by Amy Walsh, will also be returning to the village from her maternity leave.
Spoilers have confirmed that the village will suffer a devastating storm which puts lives at risk amid Kim's big wedding to Will.
But how will Joe's return affect things, if he does decide to make a comeback? Fans are divided – with plenty suggesting he could be set to take over Home Farm with Jamie at his side.
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
