British actor Alan McKenna is no stranger to the soap opera scene, having made his mark in three different shows.
He is currently appearing as the ex-husband of Rhona Goskirk and gave Emmerdale fans a big shock when he turned up with unexpected news this week that’s set to rock the dales.
The star appears as Gus and burst onto the scene when he interrupted Rhona’s date with Marlon.

Rhona is later seen meeting up with Gus, however, she's left stunned after learning why he’s really come to visit.
Dropping a huge bombshell on her, Gus reveals he wants to use one of their frozen embryos she thought had been destroyed ages ago.
Shocked and confused by his request to use the embryos, the revelations don’t stop there as Rhona discovers he’s been doing this all behind her back.
But eagle-eyed fans may recognize the soap newcomer from two other major soaps.
Most famously, he portrayed Patrick McGuire in the hit BBC series Doctors, where he had a recurring role from 2001 to 2003 and again in September 2010.
But that's not all – he also played Tony Andrews in the iconic BBC soap EastEnders, and appeared in an episode of the beloved ITV drama Midsomer Murders as Rhodri Probert.
He also appeared in Coronation Street as Cormac’s dad, Ronan Truman.
But Alan's career spans far beyond the world of soap operas.
He's worked on a variety of TV shows, including The Brides in the Bath, Waking the Dead, The Bill, Judge John Deed, Spooks, Lead Balloon, Waterloo Road, and Life Begins.
He even voiced characters in the popular video game Titanfall.
And let's not forget his film work, which includes Blessed with Heather Graham and Second in Command alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Alan has also written, produced, and starred in his own underwater action film, Pressure.
On stage he has appeared in productions of Daphne's Vase, Extracts from my Diary, Over Nothing at All, Donna Elvira's Revenge, The Internationalist and Women in Love.
It seems acting runs in Alan's family, as his great aunt was none other than Odette Hallowes, a noted Allied heroine of World War II.
