Emmerdale rocked by shock villager return after legend suddenly quit the soap | The Sun

EMMERDALE will be rocked tonight when Bernice Blackstock returns to the village despite fleeing in disgrace last week.

The fan favourite – who is played by actress Samantha Giles in the ITV soap – was revealed to have run up a £20,000 debt in her sister Nicola's name.

Viewers watched on Friday night as Bernice's scam was revealed when bailiffs emptied Nicola's home of any goods worth taking to cover the debt.

Cowardly Bernice fled the village and left a note confessing to her crimes leaving Nicola devastated.

“It was Bernice,” Nicola told Bob.

“She took a loan out in my name for £20,000 and she can’t face me. She’s done a runner.”
