Emmerdale stars look completely different as they wow in glam 1970s throwback

Emmerdale bombshells have celebrated the 50th anniversary of the ITV soap in style after five of the hottest actors in the village embraced their inner 70s babe with a glamorous photoshoot.

Loyal fans of the long-standing show have been anxiously waiting for the highly-anticipated hour-long episode which is set to hit our screens on Sunday (October 16).

And viewers have been prepared for the dramatic scenes to unfold on screen as a turbulent storm hits the heart of the village determined to cause untold damage to residents.

Ahead of this week’s anniversary special, Jessie Elland, Rosie Bentham, Katy Hill, Daisy Campbell and Karene Peters collaborated for a celebratory photoshoot to mark the memorable milestone.

The girls could be seen posing up a storm in an orange living room which was drenched in 70s décor including heavily patterned wallpaper to match the orange shag carpet.

Katy Hill – who plays the role of Sarah Sugden – could be seen wearing a pair of bell bottom trousers which featured a colourful Paisely pattern.

She teamed her bold pants with a spotted mustard crop top and a white cropped jean jacket which featured long white tassels.

The starlet accessorised the eye-popping outfit with a pair of large gold block heels and added a matching gold statement bracelet and a pair of oversized sunglasses to complete the look.

Speaking of her time on the jam-packed photoshoot, the 19-year-old added: “It’s been great fun being in the show during its 50th anniversary!

“Not only seeing all the exciting storylines that are going on, but also having the opportunity to do this fun 70s themes photoshoot.

“We had a great time on the day getting our hair and makeup done 70s style, and the costumes were so cool. It was lots of fun jumping back in time for the day.”

Newcomer Karene Peter was seen in a similar flared jumpsuit which sported a colourful Paisley print and daring cut-outs at the waist which were barely held together with string which she teamed with a pair of wedge sandals.

The Naomi Walters star embraced her natural curls which cascaded over her shoulders and opted for a bright blue eyeshadow and a striking orange blush to tie the look together.

The soap star – who recently joined the cast this summer – summarised: “We all had a great time on this shoot. Playing dress up as an adult can’t ever not be fun, really.

“We got some amazing photos and it’s such an epic time to have joined the show, at such a pinnacle moment in its history!”

Fiery redhead Jessie Elland put on a leggy display as she showcased her hourglass frame in a burgundy leather minidress. which she teamed with a pair of forest green peep-toe mule heels.

The Chloe Harris actor accessorised the look with a pair of forest green peep-toe mule heels and rocked a matching green eyeshadow on her lid that made her eyes pop against her luscious hair.

Gabby Thomas star Rosie Bentham opted for another staple wardrobe must-have for the themed photoshoot – a denim jumpsuit.

Her classic outfit featured large flares and a daring centre zip which was secured with a matching denim belt.

Fan-favourite star Daisy Campbell – who portrays Amelia Spencer on the soap – rocked a long-sleeved shift dress that featured a bright red, orange and blue zigzag pattern.

She finished the look with a pair of red heart-shaped sunglasses and a pair of bright gold strappy high heels as she modelled the daring look for the camera.

The TV star – who’s character is set to play a central role in the anniversary episode – chimed in with: “I’ve been wearing a pregnancy bump for the last few months so it was great to glam up.

“It’s such an honour to be a part of Emmerdale ’s 50 years. I feel unbelievably lucky. It was such a great day on the shoot especially as I got to share it with these four amazing ladies.

“It was super cool and the costumes and make-up were unbelievable. Everyone put so much effort into it. I really feel like I was meant to be part of that era!”
