Emmerdale villain returns for revenge on Laurel Thomas with sickening outburst | The Sun

COUNCILLOR Nicola King is planning a big event in the village as she unveils a new landmark.

Unfortunately, one guest rocking up Emmerdale for the occasion could bring trouble to Laurel Thomas.

As mentioned above, Nicola King (played by Nicola Wheeler) is carefully planning to reveal her new bus stop.

Next week on ITV, she's excited to hear her new bus stop is finished but is disappointed by her sister Bernice Blackstock’s lack of enthusiasm.

She eventually snaps and reveals the bus stop will have a huge significance for fellow villagers as it's a memorial for Harriet Finch and Liv Flaherty.

Both beloved residents were killed off during the Yorkshire-based soap's fiftieth anniversary in October, 2022.

Nicola’s stressed as she’s let down by the council but her faith in humanity is restored to see the turn out for her reveal.

Nervous, Nicola flaps about making a speech but delivers a touching message to the village.

However, the moment is soon interrupted by a car screeching into the village and Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) face drops to see Colin Hamston (Mark Noble) arrive.

Annoyed, Colin's frustrated the unveiling has taken place and demands to start again.

The crowd is unimpressed as Colin delivers a lacklustre speech and as the crowd starts to disperse Colin rages at Laurel and her husband Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), all to be caught on the reporter’s video.

Nicola’s elated to hear Colin’s outburst is trending online but Laurel’s uneasy to think their celebrations are vindictive.

Regular viewers of the long-running program will remember that Colin has a bone to pick with Laurel as she took his son Marshall in to live with her, Jai and their children.

Laurel refused to allow Marshall back in his father's home after realising he was not only homophobic but also physically and mentally abusive towards the lad.
