Emmerdale's Caleb Milligan star Will Ash has teased the potential arrival of his character's estranged wife and on-screen son Nicky's mum to the village.
Later this week, Caleb is shoved off the side of a ravine by a mystery person with his body left lifeless at the bottom of the ridge – but who is behind the deadly shove and will Caleb survive?
And as such, Caleb star Will admits there is "huge potential" for his character's estranged wife to arrive and make her debut.
Fans will recall that Caleb and on-screen son, Nicky, played by Lewis Cope, have had disagreements over Caleb's on-off romance with Leyla Harding.
Earlier this year, Nicky even threatened to "tell his mam" about Caleb and Leyla, resulting in Caleb telling Nicky not to "hold out much hope" between him and his mother.
Speaking to press recently, Caleb star Will said: "There's huge potential for Caleb's ex wife and Nicky's mum.
"There's already a bit of a picture of that character even though she's never been in it. We've talked about her quite a lot.
"Caleb had a line talking to Leyla [Harding, played by Roxy Shahidi] about his kids, plural.
"I've never had that discussion with producers or anything but Nicky may have siblings and I may have other kids and there's potential for those characters to come into it and I think it would be nice to flesh it out. There's a lot of backstory there I think."
Ever since the mention of Nicky's "mam", fans have been desperate to know who it is and some eagle-eyed viewers think they've cracked it.
Taking to Twitter, fans have predicted that Nicky's mum and Caleb's "wife" could in fact be Defence Barrister Milligan, who represented serial killer Meena Jutla last year, as they both have the same last name.
Furthermore, Nicky boasted about his legal connections when first arriving in the village and even helped Cain Dingle with son Kyle Winchester after Al Chapman's death.
One person tweeted: "Is Nicky's mum the Defence Barrister Milligan (Amy Robbins) from Meena's court plea hearing? Is that how Caleb was able to help Kyle with legal stuff? #emmerdale."
