Emmerdale’s Charity plans revenge as she catches Mack kissing Chloe

How Emmerdale’s Mack (Lawrence Robb) ever thought he could get away with this mess is anyone’s guess, and while Charity (Emma Atkins) may have been uncharacteristically restrained thus far, Mack will take one step too far and be left watching as his life goes up in flames.

It’s a difficult week for Charity as Mack spends time getting to know his son, and in turn spending time with Chloe (Jessie Elland). Sarah (Katie Hill) is left privy to yet another secret in that Mack and Chloe spend a whole afternoon together and Sarah faces the weighty decision of whether or not to tell her gran.

The next day is Sarah’s birthday and Charity pulls the old ‘oh I forgot’ trick before Moses, Ryan (James Moore) and Noah (Jack Downham) burst out. Being the magnanimous person she is, Charity invites Chloe to the shindig, but it backfires when an either heartless or clueless Mack shows up with Reuben.

Charity is understandably wrecked at the sight, especially after he promised her that he just wanted to be a dad to Reuben and had no intentions on Chloe.

But Chloe certainly has intentions on him. Spending so much time together has stirred feelings of having a proper little family for Reuben. She gets one step closer to that dream later when the baby hits a milestone and smiles for the first time. Charged with emotion, Chloe and Mack kiss in the not-so-discreet back room.

It’s immediately awkward and neither of them know how to react, though neither of them say no to something more happening. But while they’re worrying about what it means they’re worrying about the wrong thing – neither of them realise that Charity has seen it all.

This is the moment the true Charity returns as vengeance boils in her blood and she relates what she saw to Chas (Lucy Pargeter).

She tries to convince Chas she’s over Mack, but nobody’s daft enough to buy that. Instead, Charity has revenge on her mind. What’s she got in store for blissfully unaware Mack and Chloe?
