Emmerdale: Gabby Thomas is stood up by her date
In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Arthur Thomas (played by Alfie Clarke) makes an effort to repair the strained relationship between Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) ahead of the wedding.
However, the youngster’s attempts prove to be unsuccessful, leaving Rishi in a state of depression.
Later on, Jai is taken aback when a taxi arrives at Mulberry and his mother Georgia Sharma (Lin Blakley) emerges from it.
Jai’s initial shock soon turns into rage as he demands his mother returns home.
His wife-to-be Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) tries to mend the rift with the Sharma family before her big day, but Jai’s feelings remain unreadable.

In a drunken state later on, Rishi bumps into Georgia while he heads across the village to confront his son.
To Laurel’s dismay, Rishi soon makes a hurtful comment about her past abortion and Georgia becomes furious at the escalation caused by his intoxicated outburst.
The following day, Jai’s astonished when Laurel descends the stairs in her ivory wedding dress looking stunning.
But their joy is soon dampened by the sudden arrival of Rishi and Georgia, with Jai left fuming when Rishi reveals the identity of his real father.

Jai starts pacing around the room while Rishi becomes defensive about the situation and tensions continue to mount between the Sharmas.
It all ends in a heated argument between Georgia, Rishi and Jai, with Rishi storming off.
But Jai assures Georgia he wants her to attend his wedding and she’s grateful when he decides Rishi can be present too.
Georgia begs Rishi to be part of his son’s big day – but will he show up at the church?
Laurel and Jai tie the knot in front of their loved ones, but Jai deeply regrets his father’s absence on his wedding day when he realises he’s not there.
Will Jai and Rishi be able to mend their fractured relationship?
Jai probably has a lot of questions for his real father and might demand a DNA test before he starts asking about being adopted.
