Emmerdale's Liam Fox addresses future on ITV soap as he prepares for new role away from show | The Sun

ACTOR Liam Fox opened up about his future in the village and teaming up with Emmerdale co-star in new Channel 5 show.

Liam, 52, has played Dan Spencer in the hit ITV soap since he arrived in 2011.

Liam is working on a brand new channel of Channel 5 titled Our Great Yorkshire Life.

He will present alongside Emmerdale co-star Dean Andrews who plays Will Taylor.

But does this mean Liam is leaving Emmerdale?

Liam told Express.co.uk he has no plans to leave in the near future.

He said: “I'd love to do more presenting, more stuff with Dean and more stuff on my own.

“I love Emmerdale to bits, and I am certainly happy at Emmerdale until the end of time, but it’s nice doing other stuff as it keeps the old grey matter going.

Liam opened up about filming admitting he was “scared of everything."

He revealed: “I’m a bit of a wet lettuce me, scared of the dark and scared of my own shadow.

“It was funny because I can't swim. So, Deano did the kayaking and I’m watching him from the sides, making sure that he's alright.

“I think it’s more humorous than anything because I’m just sat around waiting for him while he's going down this little shallow river.
