Erich Schwer's Alleged Leaked Texts to His Ex Could Change the Entire 'Bachelorette' Finale

After a relatively chill several months, it looks like Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s joint season of The Bachelorette might actually be the most dramatic season ever? On top of some serious drama regarding Rachel and Tino Franco being teased in the trailer for Tuesday’s finale (spoilers on what happened here), Gabby’s finalist Erich Schwer just had a bunch of texts leak. And yikes.

Beloved fan account @bachelornation.scoop got the exclusive on these texts, which are allegedly from Erich’s ex and paint a pretty clear picture: he was in a relationship prior to The Bachelorette, broke things off to go on the show, and described it as a “fake” career opportunity. Not exactly a great look considering he ended up being Gabby’s final guy standing.

You can read the texts above ^, but Reality Steve also got on the phone with Erich’s ex Amanda for some more details. Per Steve’s reporting, these two met in January 2022 and dated for over two months (Erich also allegedly spent time with Amanda’s child). He told her about going on the show, was apologetic, and bought her roses the day before he left with a note that said “I’ll never stop thinking of you.”

At this point, Erich hasn’t responded publicly to his alleged texts being released, and there’s no info on how Gabby feels about them. But as this news continues to blow up Bachelor Nation, it seems pretttttttty inevitable that it’ll be brought up on the live After the Final Rose. That said, Steve notes that “If Erich addresses this either before the ATFR or at the ATFR and tries to downplay her, [Amanda] has more receipts to show how much he was into her.”
