Exclusive: 'The Midnight Club' Has Very Different Ideas of What Happens at Prom in This New Clip

The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass creator Mike Flanagan is returning triumphantly to Netflix for more scares, and this story might be his most unique yet.

In his latest series, Mike is turning The Midnight Club by Christopher Pike into the show of our nightmares. Get ready to meet seven of the residents in the Rotterdam House in 1994. These teens meet up at midnight to tell scary stories and also take their minds off their terminal illnesses. And of course, strange and spooky things start to happen all around them after someone actually dies.

Don’t worry though, not all of it is super scary. In fact, in Cosmopolitan‘s exclusive clip—which you can check out above—it looks like they have more than just ~supernatural~ things to worry about. You know, like prom.

When Kevin gets asked out for the big event, the rest of the members of The Midnight Club have different ideas about what kind of night he’s going to have, especially when other prom-goers remember why he’s at Rotterdam House in the first place. Of course, there’s also the question of what will happen after prom, and Amesh says that it’ll involve a lot of…necking?! You’re going to want to watch the clip to figure out exactly what he means.

The Midnight Club stars Iman Benson, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Annarah Cymone, William Chris Sumpter, Adia, Aya Furukawa, Sauriyan Sapkota, Matt Biedel, Samantha Sloyan, with Zach Gilford and Heather Langenkamp also part of the cast.

Clear your queue ASAP because this show is coming a lot sooner than you think. You can check out The Midnight Club starting on October 6, 2022 on Netflix.
