Geordie Shore James Tindale has revealed there is now an alcohol limit on the MTV show.

The Newcastle-based series is notoriously known for its alcohol-fuelled antics and being the wildest out of the UK bunch of reality shows.

However, James, 32, has lifted the lid on the new reunion series which is approaching in the coming months and sees all of the show's most famous faces return.

But things may be a little different, he says, as the amount of booze they're allowed to neck has been capped.

James exclusively told the Daily Star: "When it comes to filming there's a lot of rules that have come in over the years – which sort of dampens the vibe.

"There's a limit on how many drinks you can have with Covid and stuff it's hard as you can't film in certain places, so it makes the producers' part really hard as they have to really plan stuff to keep an eye on you.

"Whereas, years ago, they used to just chase us round following us with a camera on their shoulder.

Continuing on about the excess booze bans, James said: "It is a thing on every show – there's an alcohol limit – it just depends on your tolerance so if they know us regular cast members they're not going to put me on the same amount of drink as maybe Chloe.

"So, you kind of get a limit but it has to be there, the show wouldn't be made if it didn't.

"But I'm glad it's not like Love Island as they say you're allowed one beer or a glass of wine which is pointless drinking then. We still get drunk but we just don't get like paralytic anymore.

"It's probably better though as we're getting older now and the hangovers are getting worse. That's why they probably brought it in because they want us to function the next day instead of snoring all day."

James is currently keeping his love life under wraps and is tight-lipped about his current relationship status, claiming he likes to keep that "private".

However, he did reveal the show has done wonders for his track record with the ladies.

James said: "I feel like I've always benefitted off the show because people will be like 'you're the nice one, you don't just sleep with anyone'.

"It's mainly because the people I was living with would jump on anything with a pulse, so off the show, it did me a favour because if I spoke to someone they would be like 'oh, he's picky him and they'd feel special.'"
