Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid announced she will be taking an extended break from the ITV programme.
Closing Wednesday's instalment (October 18) of GMB alongside co-host Richard Madeley, Susanna, 52, confirmed she would not be returning for two weeks. The ITV anchor made the announcement as she spoke to Lorraine Kelly to preview what was coming up on her show.
Following the handback from Lorraine, 63, Susanna told viewers: "I am back in two weeks time. To which Lorraine responded: "We will miss you! Have a great time Susanna."

The TV star is a regular presenter on the show, therefore fans can expect a few shake-ups in the coming weeks as she takes time off for October half-term. It comes after Susanna weighed in on the BBC row after the broadcaster refused to label Hamas terrorists following their attack on Israel.
Last week, Rob Rinder appeared on GMB and spoke about the increasing threat of antisemitism faced by Jewish people in the UK after the attack which took place on October 7. The 45-year-old was visibly emotional as he explained that he was friends with two people who were murdered at the Israeli music festival.
He said: "The essential thing is that Hamas does not speak on behalf of the Palestinian people, and it’s painful I suspect for you sitting there looking into that autocue calling these people militants, knowing what’s going to ensue, knowing where they’re planting their rockets and knowing the horror that’s going to be brought to innocent civilians." Susanna appeared to make a thinly veiled dig at the BBC as she stood by calling them terrorists.
"We very clearly call them terrorists," she firmly responded. "I mean, it was an act of terror what happened, and it was a barbaric atrocity.
"And you and I have been in contact since what happened. I didn’t know that you had lost two friends in that attack. On every level, this is painful for you."
The BBC responded to the criticism, defending their decision to not use the word "terrorist" in reports involving Hamas. It said: "Across our reporting we have explained that Hamas is proscribed as a terrorist organisation by many Western governments, including the UK.
"We have reflected the response from the international community to Hamas’ actions, and featured contributors who have described them as terrorists." It continued: "We have given careful consideration to all aspects of our reporting of the Israel-Gaza conflict, both in terms of Hamas’ attacks and Israel’s response – this includes the language that we use.
"The BBC is editorially independent; our role is to explain precisely what is happening so that the public can make their own judgements. Our longstanding position, including during previous conflicts between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, has been that we do not use the term “terrorist” without attribution, in line with the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines."
