GMBs Andi Peters fumes at This Morning audience as he demands bigger applause

This Morning’s audience had not quite woken up today (17 August) to Andi Peters’ frustration who could not believe the lack of enthusiasm in the studio.

This Morning regular Josie Gibson was happy to announce Andi as her co-star for the day, proclaiming: “Look who I’ve got with me: Andi Peters!” before belting out a “woohoo” in excitement.

But the bubbly presenter was quick to notice something was not quite right, as the tension felt in the studio could be cut with a knife.

“That wasn’t a very big applause,” she admitted, as Andi gasped in shock.

Josie was trying her hardest to hype the audience up by cheering on, while Andi attempted to encourage the viewers with a little dance.

Alas, all efforts were wasted as a couple of shy claps could be heard, which in turn started to frustrate the chirpy competition host.

“You’re not even clapping,” Andi exclaimed.

As he was pointing at a crowd member, he shouted again: “You’re not even clapping, where are you?”

A person could then be heard producing a quiet and discreet clap.

“Thank you,” Andi hollered.

The Morning duo couldn’t stop giggling at the awkward situation, which only got worse when Andi announced he had watched Josie been off the whole summer with “so many different men”.

“Why, you getting jealous?” Josie clapped back.

“A little bit,” Andi admitted.

And when things could not get more ridiculous, the GMB star went on to reveal that a gigantic lit up poster of himself had been installed in a production meeting room.

“It’s bigger than real life,” Andi repeated as he exploded in laughter.

“These poor people having meetings, I’m so embarrassed,” he said.

“What would you do if you walked in one day and it was me up there,” Josie asked.

Giving a funny side-eye, Andi revealed he would “change it back”, before saying that forcing his enormous image on people was a “frightening way to start your day”.

Josie wanted to see if the audience agreed with the sentiment, and asked: “Boys and ladies, is it a nice way to start your day?”

Once again the audience went completely silent, despite both presenters trying their best to animate the studio.

Someone in the Morning’s production caught on to the uncomfortable atmosphere, and quickly added a sad trombone cartoon sound, which caused the co-hosts to break into uncontrollable laughter.

The audience finally seemed awake and could be heard cheering and clapping.
