Good Morning Britain fans furious as ITV show is cancelled in schedule shake up | The Sun

GOOD Morning Britain fans were left furious on Friday as the show was subject to a huge shake-up.

ITV viewers tuned into the broadcaster expecting Kate Garraway, 56, and Ben Shephard, 48, to be fronting the three-hour episode.

Good Morning Britain runs every weekday between 6am and 9am, with anchor Susanna Reid, 52, fronting the first half of the week with differing co-stars.

Ben and Kate then take over for Thursday and Friday's instalment.

Yet today viewers switched on to find coverage of the Fifa Women's World Cup 2023.

Footie fans were treated to the Philippines taking on Switzerland, with the broadcaster stating GMB will not return until Thursday, July 27.

Yet daytime fans don't wholly miss out, with the Lorraine show at 9am still keeping its slot.

Fans took to Twitter to comment, with one raging: "Not having #GMB on this morning was horrible!"

A second put: "They cancelled #gmb for women's football?" as a third continued: "Where Is @GMB This Morning ? Never Known It To Be Off Before For Football World Cup."

One then mused: "Why have they cancelled #GMB to show the football instead of sticking the football on ITV2?"

Another added: "Really how unprofessional @GMB
is to abandon the News. On the BBC they don't stop the News they switch over to BBC 2 when the tennis was on."

While this GMB fan simply put "I don't like getting up to no #GMB on".

Earlier in the week, presenter Susanna Reid bid "goodbye" to the show.

She teased a show shake-up as she headed off for her summer holidays.

As she closed the episode with Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis, 51, anchor Susanna cheerfully said: "Good Morning Britain back tomorrow at 6am.

"I am saying goodbye now!" before giving a big wave.

She then added: "It's time for Lorraine!"
