Good Morning Britain makes major changes to show ahead of Queen's state funeral | The Sun

GOOD Morning Britain has made major changes to today's show ahead of the Queen's state funeral.

Susanna Reid co-hosted with Ben Shephard who she normally only unites on Thursdays.

The pair were also missing from the GMB studios as they relocated outside Westminster Abbey to present live.

The show has been extended, with Susanna and Ben on air until 9.30am.

And in a sweet tribute to Her Majesty, the Good Morning Britain theme tune was changed.

String music that played out at the ad breaks was slowed down for the occasion.

Describing the day ahead, Susanna said: "It will be a public farewell and a private time of sorrow for her family who have lost a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother."

The Queen's funeral will be attended by all the Royal family members and other guests such as world leaders that worked closely with Her Majesty during her 70 years on the throne.

The service will start with a procession, followed by the entrance of the coffin into Westminster Abbey, with family members following behind.

Guests will be seated beforehand, which will also include the arrival of heralds of the arms of the four kingdoms, and the members of the Queen's household.
