Great British Sewing Bee host Sara Pascoe gives birth to second child – as replacement is revealed | The Sun

THE Great British Sewing Bee host Sara Pascoe has given birth to her second child.

It was revealed that the 42 year old had become a mum for the second time by the BBC show's official Twitter page.

Sara confirmed the news that she was expecting earlier this year after a series of fertility issues.

In May of this year, the star showed off her growing bump under a colourful dress as she joked that she was "eating for two and drinking for no one".

The comedian and TV presenter is yet to reveal the baby's name or gender and has remained coy on all details surrounding the birth.

The Sun has reached out to a representative for Sara for comment.

Sara has been forced to walk away from the BBC programme that she has hosted for the last two years to concentrate on the newborn.

Instead, she will be replaced by a star of the acclaimed BBC comedy Ghosts.

Kiell Smith-Bynoe will be stepping in to present the upcoming tenth series of the show as well as a brand new Christmas special after previously appearing as a celebrity guest.

The show confirmed the news on X – formerly Twitter – with a brand new snap of the host and his co-star judges, Patrick Grant and Esme Young.

They said: "We're bursting at the seams that Kiell Smith-Bynoe has stepped in to host this year’s Christmas Special and Series 10. (Sending lots of love to Sara and her new baby!) #SewingBee."

Sara had presented the programme for the last two series after joining the BBC hit in 2021.

Prior to her involvement as host, fellow comedy star Joe Lycett and Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman helped to turn the programme into an unlikely ratings hit.
