Freddie Slater’s (Bobby Brazier) future hangs in the balance in EastEnders following his arrest for the attack carried out on stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).
The popular character, as viewers know, returned home following a showdown with his rapist father Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney) to find Theo attempting to rape Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
In a bid to protect his cousin, Freddie lashed out, violently attacking sinister stalker Theo, leaving him in a pool of his own blood in shocking scenes.
Theo was feared dead, with Freddie convinced that he was going to go to prison for protecting Stacey.
Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), who walked in on the scene, swooped into action, attempting to make it look like Freddie simply acted in self-defence.
But despite their efforts to save Freddie, the young lad was subsequently arrested by the police on suspicion of attempted murder.
But is he set to spend his life behind bars? Will Freddie’s story end in such a tragic way?
That is the million dollar question. Whether or not this will serve as Freddie’s final scene remain to be seen, but actor Bobby has previously revealed that he will be written out of EastEnders while he competes on Strictly Come Dancing.
Metro.co.uk, however, can confirm that he will be back.
Discussing his temporary departure, actor Bobby said earlier this year: ‘I’m taking a break. I’ve filmed it all, and I’m not telling you. I’ll be back.’
Bobby has taken to the Strictly dance floor twice thus far, with he and partner Dianne Buswell charming the nation with a sweet Foxtrot on Week 1, followed byan energetic Charleston on Week 2.
This week, which is Strictly’s signature Movies specials, will see the EastEnders star dance a Samba to Young Hearts Run Free.
The song famously featured in the 1998 remake of Romeo + Juliet, which made stars of Leonardo DiCaprio and Clare Danes.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
