Love Island fans were left shocked after it was announced Adam Collard will be making a return to the villa in Sunday night's episode of the ITV2 show.
The Geordie fitness trainer, 26, appeared on the dating show back in 2018 where he was labelled by some as a ‘gaslighter’ for his behaviour with Rosie Williams.
This prompted Katie Ghose, the then chief executive of Women’s Aid, to release a statement highlighting “clear warning signs in Adam’s behaviour”.
Adam’s return marks the first time in Love Island history that a contestant from a past series has been brought back to shake things up.

Many fans were thrilled to see Adam return to the series while others quipped that the show was bringing more ‘toxic men’ into the villa.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “They brought Adam back! Producers deserve a pay rise for real. The drama, spice and content this man is going to bring.”
While another disagreed with the decision: “Why are they bringing back Adam…. he was legitimately awful and got called out for gaslighting women on the show … why would they bring him back? Sends such a bad message?”
With one of the show’s biggest love rats set to make a return, do you think producers made the right decision to bring Adam Collard back? Let us know in the comments below.
