After months of campaigning, Manifest will finally return to screens for season four after the series was dropped by NBC. After Netflix picked up the series, fans can expect to see a thrilling finale, after Ben Stone star Josh Dallas dropped a major teaser.

After season three came to a cliffhanger ending, fans took to social media with fury when NBC announced they had dropped the show.

With the help of its creator Jeff Rake, viewers pushed Manifest back into Netflix’s top 10 list, which caught the attention of network bosses.

After it stayed in the number one spot for 27 days, the #SaveManifest campaign proved to be a success, as Netflix announced season four would premiere on the streaming giant.

As the eagerly awaited show returns this week, actor Josh Dallas opened up about his character, Ben Stone’s end.

Speaking on the fourth and final season, he teased: “It is compelling, it is twisty, it is turny, it is everything that you want out of a classic episode of Manifest and more.

“We get to find out the ultimate answer of what happened to these passengers on Flight 828.

“In my opinion, it is the perfect ending and resolution to each of these characters, and we can’t wait for people to see it,” Josh told TV Line.

Season four will return with a mammoth 20 episodes, which will be split into two parts.

The instalment will finally provide insight into the fate of the Stone family after things came to a complicated end.

Ben’s son Cal Stone (played by Jack Messina) had mysteriously disappeared after touching the plane’s tail and when he returned he was five years older.

This was a major twist for fans as the youngster’s growth was stunted when flight 828 disappeared for five years.

When the plane landed in New York, its passengers were unaware they had been missing and were presumed dead.

The time difference was evident between Cal and his twin sister Olive Stone (Luna Blaise) who had appropriately aged.

Ben’s wife Grace Stone (Athena Karkanis) had seemingly died at the hands of Angelina Meyer (Holly Taylor) after the 828 passenger had abducted their baby, Eden Stone (Brooks Johnson).

The complicated love triangle between Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), Zeke (Matt Long) and Jared (J.R. Ramirez) also seemed to be reignited by jealousy.

Additionally, there was a major cliffhanger after the reappearance of flight 828’s pilot Bill Daly (Frank Deal), who had disappeared after episode one.

The pilot had gone on a quest to clear his name after investigations and the confused public began to blame him for the plane’s disappearance.

In the few minutes of his comeback, pilot Daly had somehow warped into the cockpit of the plane’s wreckage.

All he could say was: “Help me,” before disappearing again, which left fans speculating whether he had discovered a portal for time travel.

Although season four will return with a two-year time jump, Josh revealed: “He’s (Ben) not dealing well,” hinting the character was struggling to adjust after the death of his wife.

Manifest season four will premiere on Friday, November 4 on Netflix
