Helen Flanagan and footballer partner set wedding date after four years

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan and her footballer partner Scott Sinclair have finally set a date for their wedding – four years on from their engagement!

Back in 2020, the couple put their wedding on hold due to Helen’s sister also tying the knot.

‘We were going to get married this year but my little sister is getting married next summer,’ she previously told Express. ‘So maybe next year.’

Last year, plans changed once more, with Helen telling Loose Women: ‘Everything’s just so uncertain, everybody’s going to get married in 2022 if we get the go ahead to have weddings abroad, so I think it’ll be super busy.

‘So it might be 2023, but I am really excited to plan that.’

It’s good news at last for the actress, who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, as she confirmed progress for the big day during a recent interview, but isn’t going to give much away just yet!

‘I have set a date. I’m so picky. I finally found my wedding venue’, she told The Mirror.

‘I don’t want to give it away, but basically everybody wants this venue. I think what it is as well as me and Scott have been together for so long. We’ve been together for 13 years now. I’ve been with Scott since I’ve was 19, I’m 32 now, so I think we are probably a little bit laid back because it does feel like a marriage anyway.’

Elsewhere, Helen is one of the many names rumoured to be taking part in the All Stars series of I’m A Celebrity.

The one-off special, taking place in South Africa, will see previous iconic contestants return to our screens for more gruelling challenges – and Helen could be part of the cast.

An insider told The Sun: ‘Helen is an absolute catch for ITV and they are thrilled she is finally on board.

‘It has taken months of negotiations because it is a big decision to spend so long away from her young children but she has finally come around to the idea.

‘She was brilliant telly back in 2012 and is bound to be just as entertaining this time around — especially if she gets voted into doing the trials again.’

Other celebs linked to return include Countdown numbers whizz Carol Vorderman, Lady Colin Campbell and Made In Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo.
