Helen Skelton new favourite to replace Rylan Clark on Strictly: It Takes Two

Helen Skelton has been unveiled as the new favourite to replace Rylan Clark on Strictly: It Takes Two.

Strictly Come Dancing finalist Helen, 39, who starred on the BBC One show in 2022, is reportedly 'in talks' to takeover from Rylan, 34, who announced he has quit hosting the spin-off show after four years.

It Takes Two was first presented by Claudia Winkleman from its launch in 2004 until 2010. Zoe Ball then took over, until stepping aside for the latest presenters, Rylan and Janette Manrara.

The BBC has said it will announce a new presenter for the BBC Two programme in due course, but that hasn't stopped fans speculating about who could be taking over the role.

New odds from Casinos En Ligne show Helen is the new 6/4 favourite to replace Rylan with fellow former Strictly contestant AJ Odudu next in line at 6/1.

Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball each follow next at 12/1, while Strictly judge Anton Du Beke, Bruno Tonioli and Emma Willis are all 16/1 to replace Rylan.

Stacey Dooley and Oti Mabuse both follow at 20/1, with Rochelle Humes, Craig Revel Horwood and Alison Hammond next at 33/1.

Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas appears to be the least likely replacement, with odds of 50/1.

In an emotional statement, Rylan confirmed his It Takes Two departure last week.

He said: "After 4 fantastic years it's time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two.

"I've had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can't thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.

“I've been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me. The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me

"Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet."

Later, Rylan gave an insight into what he intends to do with his free evenings, now he's left the show.

He told listeners of his Radio 2 show: "So I just want to say publicly to all the Strictly family, I love you dearly for the last four years. Can I just confirm please as well, I’m seeing all the rumours. Please carry on with your rumours, I ain't going anywhere darling.

"It was just my time to say thank you and you know, go, and I don't know, sit indoors in my pyjamas for a bit."
