Holly Willoughby risks ugly row with neighbours as she starts controversial renovations at £3million London 'castle' | The Sun

HOLLY Willoughby risks angering her neighbours as she’s set to start renovations on her £3million London mansion.

The 41-year-old has reportedly finally been given the green light to extend the huge property after years of battling with the people around her and rejected planning applications.

Last year Holly managed to upset the people on her street when she revealed plans to extend the stunning London home, which she shares with husband Dan Baldwin and children Harry, 12, Belle, 10, and Chester, seven.

The couple – who purchased the property in 2011 – revealed they wanted to add a first floor side and front extension to the huge six-bedroom home.

Their original plans, which included other alterations, were rejected by the local council – but they were later granted permission and according to the Mail, work is set to start soon.

Locals have been unimpressed by the TV favourite's renovations for years, and neighbour Liliana Velez slammed the move.

Outraged Holly Willoughby apologises for rare outburst during This Morning call-in

She ranted: "Having the noise all week all day for so many months is not the standard of living in such an expensive area to live…

"I do not pay taxes to get this level of disruption, it is not quality of life."

Julie Halstead also slammed the couple, saying that "further development as per proposal, would severely impact the character and nature of this part of the road and community".

She expressed her concerns for the local wildlife, as well as loss of privacy for the homes around the property.

Julia also shared her fear of the building work causing disruption to the community as they try to work from home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The noise concerns were dismissed by the council's planning officer.

Holly's neighbours previously objected to her and Dan's application for a two-storey extension in 2016 – the same year they were approved to build a "super basement".

And in 2013 a resident sent an anonymous letter accusing Holly and Dan of keeping neighbours up all night.

Dan was understandably left fuming by the claims at the time, and emailed 50 residents to slam the "rude and aggressive" message as he insisted the allegations were false.
