Hollyoaks Owen Warner says hopefully Ill still see you about to girlfriend Jemma Donovan

Hollyoaks' Owen Warner has said that "hopefully" he will still see his girlfriend Jemma Donovan "about" after her last scenes on the E4 soap.

The two stars of the Cheshire based soap have been dating since April of this year but faced split rumours earlier this year, which they shut down.

Owen, 24, appeared to confirm that they are still together, as he shared a sweet post on Instagram to mark Jemma's departure from the E4 soap.

Jemma, 23, played Rayne Royce before her departure this week, and Owen was quick to pay tribute to her.

Alongside a picture of them having a hug, he jokingly wrote: "Been a pleasure acting alongside you, hopefully I’ll still see you about x."

Jemma replied in the comments section and said: "Dinner sometime?"

While over on Jemma's Instagram page, she marked the end of her time on Hollyoaks with a heartfelt post.

She wrote: "What an amazing lil experience,I’ve been so lucky to have had. Hollyoaks – it’s been reaaall.

"Been an honour and a pleasure to work alongside this lot and everyone behind the scenes you guys are so special, and truly the most welcoming, talented little family.

"I felt this story was so important to share on screen (although I’m sure it wasn’t easy to watch, and trust me, it definitely wasn’t easy to play) I hope that by doing so, its shed a very raw insight into abuse and coercive control within relationships, a story that needs to be told.

"I hope you all enjoy the last episode of Rayne – watch it tonight on E4!! So much love."

Owen, who plays Romeo in the soap, also commented on Jemma's post to say: "Smashed it gal" alongside two clapping hands emojis and a red heart emoji.

While her dad, Neighbours legend Jason Donovan, said: "Well done Jem…your professionalism, hard work and focus have served you well!

"Continue to grow. Continue to learn. Have fun! Love you and love your work."

Back in August, The Sun reported that Owen and Jemma had split, with the source saying: "They had great fun together, but long term they decided it’s better to just be friends. They are both super professional so it won’t change anything at work."

However, just days later, on his Instagram story, Owen said: "I just wanted to come on here and address that me and Jemma have broken up. She’s devastated, she’s heartbroken."

He then pointed the camera to Jemma and said: "She can’t console herself, can you."

Jemma then added: "We’re better than ever."
