Hollyoaks stars Claire Cooper and Emmett J Scanlan's daughter rushed to hospital | The Sun

HOLLYOAKS actress Claire Cooper has revealed a troubling "tough" medical emergency that saw her baby rushed to hospital.

Back in November, the Channel 4 star, 42, and her Irish actor husband Emmett J Scanlan, 44, revealed the arrival of their second child, Fiáin-Luna.

The pair are already parents to son Ocean-Torin.

Hollyoaks favourite Claire uploaded a heartbreaking snap showing her little girl in hospital, cuddling a soft toy bear.

She appeared to be sleeping as she recovered in a cot in her hospital ward.

In her emotional caption, Claire told Instagram fans: "We had a very tough start to the weekend, so glad our little love is on the mend, curveballs come out of nowhere and sometimes it really does hit damn hard."

She finished off her post with a wounded heart Emoji.

It is unclear what the youngster is suffering from, but the star's fans will no doubt be sending well-wishes for the little girl's recovery.

The couple met when they both worked on Hollyoaks, with Claire playing the part of Jacqui McQueen and Emmett playing businessman Brendan Brady.

They married in 2015 and their son Ocean-Torin arrived in July 2020.

However, the couple had a heartbreaking miscarriage the year before Ocean arrived, with Emmett later revealing: “July of last year we lost our baby and in the process my wife was left fighting for her life.

"Exactly 12 months later and after 40 hours of labour with an emergency C-section Ocean-Torin was born.
