Newsreader Huw Williams made a jibe at This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after they were spotted “jumping the queue” to see the Queen’s coffin.
Thousands of people have joined the miles-long queue to Westminster Abbey, including members of the public and celebrities.
Holly and Phillip sparked a backlash when it appeared they had pushed in the front of the queue, with some people waiting for up to 14 hours to get to the front.

Huw, who is a presenter for the BBC and delivered the news about the Queen’s death on television, appeared to slam the pair as he praised former footballer David Beckham, who had been waiting for hours in the queue alongside members of the public.
Commenting on the celebrity turnout in the queue, Huw said: “Well there have been quite a few familiar faces in the queue for that lying in state at Westminster Hall.
“We did of course see a certain David Beckham there on Friday, he was widely praised for having queued hours and hours, not jumping the queue because he’s a superstar VIP. No, he was in the queue for many hours and good for him.”
People have travelled from around the world to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, queueing through the night in chilly temperatures.
Famous faces including actress Tilda Swinton, presenter Susanna Reid and former X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne.
Footage of Holly and Phillip was included on the BBC live stream, with many viewers taking to social media to express their anger.

A petition has been started, calling for the termination of the pair from This Morning, which has reached over 3,000 signatures.
ITV released a statement which read: "Hello everyone, we would like to clarify something. We asked Phillip and Holly to be part of a film for Tuesday's programme.
"They did not jump the queue, or have VIP access or file past the Queen lying in state. But instead were there in a professional capacity as part of the world's media to report on the event."
A spokesperson from ITV confirmed to the Daily Express: “This Morning had press accreditation and like other media, Phillip and Holly were escorted to work from the press gallery by government staff.
