I was on huge hit noughties TV show with Hollywood star but quit acting for a very normal job and I love it | The Sun

ACTOR Teddy Dunn was famous around the world for playing Duncan Kane in Veronica Mars but he later turned his back on showbiz and became a lawyer.

The series Teddy, now 43, starred in centred on a high school student who works cases with her private investigator dad, played by Enrico Colantoni.

Teddy was a series regular for the first season of the hit show, but midway through season two he left the show, in an episode titled Donut Run.

As well as Veronica Mars, Teddy also had a role in the 2004 remake of The Manchurian Candidate, and guest starred on Gilmore Girls.

He also starred in Grey’s Anatomy and appeared in the 2008 film Jumper, but it was after this that the star went on to become a lawyer.

In a complete career switch up, Teddy decided to practice law with Walden Macht & Haran LLP – a law firm in New York City – from 2018 to 2020.

After changing paths, Teddy told TV Guide: “I've gone with a different direction in my life and a different career."

He also discussed being written out of Veronica Mars, and explained that he’d been told his character would be leaving the show before going into season two.

He added: “I knew going in that I had a finite amount of episodes, so it was like any other job. It was week-to-week and then I went on my merry way."
