After backing out of the first trial of I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, viewers took to Twitter to pledge to vote comedian Babatunde Aleshe into more trials as the show goes on.

Babatunde had to face the daunting challenge, The Ledge with Lioness Jill Scott and newscaster Charlene White. The team had to walk along a plank, built 32 storeys high and jump off the edge.

Babatunde made history as the quickest person to shout "I'm a celebrity get me out of here", which pulls contestants out of the challenge.

Speaking on his forfeit, Babatunde explained: "I said I was determined to be here. I wasn’t determined to be there [pointing to the plank]."

However, despite admitting to feeling scared, members of the public plan on voting for Babatunde since he chickened out of the first one.

One wrote: "Well that’s babatunde doing every trial for the first week. Lad couldn’t even walk along a plank of wood."

While another joked: "Babatunde quitting his first trial when all he had to do was simply walk down a plank? Does he realise what he’s signed up for," followed by a crying-laughing emoji.

Babatunde was caught laughing at the Jungle VIPs which pushed the public to vote him into Bushtucker trials even further.

"Babatunde laughing now, not knowing the public will be voting him for every trial after this", one viewer wrote, attaching a picture of Babatunde looking terrified on The Ledge.

In his introduction video, Babatunde confessed he was scared of "everything".

"I'm scared of everything. Rats, spiders, snakes and at the top of that frogs. I do not like frogs", he revealed.

Being truthful with his fears didn't work well for Babatunde, with one fan tweeting: "So are we all in agreement that we vote for Babatunde to take on the trials until Matt Hancock arrives?"

"Babatunde he’s a scaredy-cat and so funny. I can’t wait for him to do a trial with toads/frogs spiders", another teased.
