The I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmates are having a very rough time in the jungle – what with the critters and lack of food – but fans might be stunned to know that the camp actually has a secret roof.
In order to protect recording equipment and to feed the campmates when their Bushtucker Trial reward arrives, the 'jungle' features a manmade roof to wind the bag down and it turns out the jungle might not be a jungle after all.
Springbrook National Park, where the series is filmed, is defined by Tweed Shire Council as "lowland subtropical rainforest", rather than a jungle. and apparently, a roof protects part of the camp when there's torrential downpour.

Although this roof doesn't actually cover the campmates' beds, it does cover an area in front of the cameras where they can move to in order to stay dry. A retractable canvas canopy covers the fire to keep the celebs warm, and to poke the food bag through.
But a source admitted to MailOnline: "A lot of the camp is not under shelter — it’s not like the roof at Wimbledon!" Fans have been confused in the past as to how the fire stays burning, with one fan tweeting: "Funny that when it’s pouring down with rain the fire's still going and their hair's never wet #ImACeleb."
Another viewer said: "The fact all the celebrities are completely dry when it's supposedly 'torrential rain' just shows how much of a set up it all is." In addition, plenty of the rocks around camp are fibreglass. The waterfall shower, too, is allegedly fitted with an 'off switch', with the water turned off between 3pm and 6pm to conserve water.

It comes after fans fumed over some "fake rain' during Babatunde Aléshé''s trial last year– before Matt Hancock entered the jungle. Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were huddled under umbrellas while Babatunde was up high on the apparatus, but as soon as he returned to the ground, the rain miraculously stopped.
One viewer wrote at the time: "It’s amazing how dry all the other 'celebrities' were when he got back to camp after the heavy rain." As someone else penned: "Was that a rain machine? Suddenly [went] off." "I bet it didn't rain, it's sprinklers, you heard it here first," a third joked.
