I’m A Celeb’s Fred Sirieix arrives at hotel after elimination
Fans of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! saw Ofcom hit with a flood of complaints during an episode featuring a chat between Fred Sirieix and Sam Thompson. Fred was accused of “belittling” Sam during a conversation on the December 5 episode, and many turned to Ofcom to complain.
More than 100 complaints were made regarding the row that ensued and First Dates star Fred’s remarks towards Sam. It came as the group were deciding who should do that day’s Bushtucker Trial.
Putting himself forward, Fred announced: “I’ll go with Marvin, just because why not? I’m ready to go.”
Sam quickly chimed: “I’m happy to go as well. Happy to do it and you know, want to bring some stars back for the team.”
He added: “I think Marv should definitely be going because you haven’t done one yet and I know you are Superman. And Fred, if you want to do it…”

Fred had made his mind up as he added: “Don’t worry, I’m going.
“You can carry on playing with your toys, we’ll do the men’s stuff. I’m going with Marvin, I’ve already decided.
“You go tomorrow! I think the decision has been made. I think you’re all happy.”
“We’ve got to vote,” Josie Gibson pointed out as former boxer Tony Bellew agreed: “Let everyone decide Fred, chill.”

Later in the Bush Telegraph, Sam explained: “I hope he doesn’t think that I just want to stay in camp.
Not letting it go, Fred later stated in the private telegraph: “It was quite clear to me they didn’t want to partake in this Trial.
“In fact, Sam is more interested to play with his toys in the camp today.”
It seems viewers weren’t impressed by his abrupt comments, and 59 viewers complained to regulator Ofcom directly about the clash, with another 58 made about the same episode.
Fans at the time also criticised the chef’s behaviour on social media, with many accusing him of “belittling” Sam.
