ITV star ‘forever sorry’ after losing This Morning job following boozy night out

Jack Fincham has spoken openly about his troubles since leaving the famous ITV2 dating show – including one big regret after losing his job at This Morning.

The star – who entered Love Island as a pen salesmen – shot to fame after falling for Danny Dyer's daughter Dani Dyer, and the duo ultimately became the champions of the 2018 series.

However, their romance soon fizzled out after leaving the villa, lasting nine months on the outside and calling time on their romance in April 2019.

Jack had a lot of work coming his way, but he's since confessed he "messed up" and candidly discussed his battles on a podcast.

Speaking on the Original Penguin X Campaign Against Living Miserably Under The Surface podcast, Jack said he made some big mistakes after leaving the show.

He stated his biggest mistake was not turning up for a gig at This Morning.

He said: "I'm still forever sorry about that. I went out and I didn't wake up and it's my own fault. I was working and I was having such a brilliant time doing the competitions with Andi Peters, having a whale of a time going all over Europe doing live tele.

"I was loving it. Instead of people coming up to me saying Love Island, they'd say 'loved your competition the other day'."

Jack added he took a lot of "pride" in his work with This Morning.

He explained that he headed on a night out for the Celebs Go Dating wrap party and he didn't set an alarm, so when he woke up he realised his slot had gone.

Jack said: "I remember they were just so angry. I was so apologetic, but that messed a lot of things up for me, and I'm still trying to come back from that now.

"It has impacted so much, but I'm a different person today and I think so much more. I've always only ever learned the hard way, unfortunately."

He explained that while he knows he made mistakes, he couldn't fault ITV for their aftercare.

He said: "When you come out, they give you a lesson on what not to do. Did I listen to any of it? No, but they did tell me. I made some right idiotic decisions after, getting caught up."
