ITV The Chase viewers left baffled over identities of two ‘celebrity guests’

Viewers of ITV's The Chase Celebrity Special have been left questionning who two of the famous celebrity guests are as the team battle it out against The Chasers.

YouTube influencer Joe Sugg, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, and Rak–Su singer Myles Stephenson, who appeared on ITV's I'm A Celeb in 2019, had viewers left bewildered as they wondered who they were.

The pair joined ITV newsreader Lucrezia Millarini and former England footballer David James alongside ITV host Bradley Walsh for the celebrity spin off game show.

All four celebrities were pitted against Chaser Paul Sinha to see if their knowledge was enough to win cash for their chosen charities.

One viewer took to Twitter after the celebrities were introduced at the start of the show, as they wrote: "Joe and Myles, who are they?"

They weren't the only ones, as another viewer tweeted: "David James, Who, Who and Who?"

Another viewer shared a picture of tumbleweed as they joked about Myles' band and the confusion from the audience and Bradley: "Have we any racksu fans in the studio…. Wooo !"

Host Bradley quizzed Joe Sugg over his fame, as he asked him: "How many YouTube followers do you have now?"

Joe, who rose to fame for his antics on YouTube, shared: "It must be close to 20 million now."

Despite viewers not knowing wwhy Joe was famous, they were quick to praise the star who gave an impressive solo performance that saw him beat Chaser Paul Sinha and take back £201k for his team with Myles and David.

Viewers couldn't believe the whopping steal, as one tweeted: "Joe Sugg through with £201k! And by the skin of his teeth!"

Another added: "YES JOE SUGG!!!! YOU MADE IT HISTORY!!! WELL DONE!!!"

A third simply wrote: "Joe!! £201k".

However it was a disappointing end for the team as they lost out on a whopping £213k for their chosen charities with a clincher of a final question.

A very close answer wasn't enough for the trio to win, and instead they brought £1000 each for their charities but lost out on the whopping jackpot they'd hoped to win.
