Jacqueline Jossa’s health battle explored in new ITV show as celebrities open up

Former EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa will be the focus of a new ITVBe series titled Celebrity Health Stories.

The actress turned I'm A Celebrity winner episode is dedicated to her painful periods and the show aims to highlight the health journeys that different celebrities have faced.

The series will also follow Olympic boxer Nicola Adams as she discusses IVF, S Club 7’s Hannah Spearitt’s experience with breast implants and The Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Tanya Bardsley’s ADHD journey.

The official Intertalent Group Instagram profile uploaded a headshot of Jacqueline wearing a white shirt against a red backdrop.

They captioned the post: “Jacqueline Jossa’s new ITV show, Me and Periods. The new docuseries comes to ITVBe later this year. After sharing her own experiences of excruciating periods with her 3.2 million Instagram followers, Jac investigates the condition with medical experts and influencers and reveals how it has affected her family, working life and wellbeing.”

They continued on: “We are proud of Jac for sharing a story that needs to be told and hope the docuseries begins to instil real change.”

Fans were clearly proud of the former EastEnders actress and flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the upcoming series.

One fan wrote: “Looking forward to watching this with my daughter. She has suffered so badly with her periods from day one. She thinks she’s alone feeling like this. I know she’s not.”

Another added: “Yes, Jacqueline Jossa! Well done you beautiful soul,” with clapping and red heart emojis.

A kind fan related to her struggle and typed: “Well done, Jacquline Jossa. I have suffered for years and […] have been diagnosed now with endometriosis.”

Nicola Adam’s episode focuses on her pregnancy journey with girlfriend Ella Baig, “from IVF to motherhood with key personal moments captured on the way”.

Singer and actress Hannah Spearitt had breast augmentation surgery back in 2013 and has partnered with ITVBe to “discover whether women are aware of the research around Breast Implant Illness” before they decide to go ahead with the procedure.

Reality star Tanya Bardsley was diagnosed with ADHD just 6 weeks before her 40th birthday and is set to open up about her struggle, which at points led her to “contemplate taking her own life”.
