Jade Goody's son Bobby Brazier films Kat and Phil wedding scenes in EastEnders

These are the scenes which show the arrival of Bobby Brazier in EastEnders, as Little Mo Slater’s son Freddie is a guest at Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) wedding to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Bobby, the son of late reality star Jade Goody, was confirmed to be taking on the role of Freddie last week, and he will be thrust straight into one of the show’s biggest storylines of the summer.

The EastEnders team has been out in force, filming some exciting scenes on location for the nuptials.

But Kat and Phil’s joyous day may be short lived, as another return is going to throw everything into chaos.

Kat’s ex-husband Alfie is heading back in time to gatecrash the wedding, with Shane Richie confirmed for a comeback.

But will he be able to win back his ex?

The snapshots are the first pictures of Bobby in his new role, but what brings him to this specific family occasion remains to be seen.

Speaking around his casting, Bobby said: ‘I’m really excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders – so far it’s been perfect.

‘Everybody has been so beautiful to me and made settling in easier than I could’ve hoped.

‘Stepping into the acting world has always been a vision of mine and doing that with EastEnders as a Slater is a blessing, I’m very grateful.

‘Loving every minute of Freddie so far and can’t wait to see what’s in store for him in Walford.’

Bobby, whose father is Jeff Brazier, was filming scenes this week with other cast including Kim Medcalf, who plays Sam Mitchell, and Perry Fenwick, best known as Billy.

Also spotted were the newly returning Laila Morse as Big Mo Harris, as well as Danielle Harold, who was recently confirmed to be leaving her role as Lola Pearce.

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, enthused: ‘Freddie Slater is a chaotic 18-year-old with a sensitive soul.

‘A modern-day lad who’s in touch with his spiritual side. He’s philosophical, accepting, but full of mischief and makes mistakes.

‘Bobby is an amazing young addition to the EastEnders cast who brings heart and humility to the role of Freddie Slater and I can’t wait for audiences to get to know him.’

Another aspect which could de-rail the wedding is Phil’s ongoing feelings for Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

They recently shared a passionate kiss and declared their feelings for one another, but Phil stormed back to Kat when he learnt that Sharon was in touch with his estranged brother Grant.

The stage is set for an explosive summer wedding; and Freddie will witness first hand how mad life in Walford can be.

The scenes will air this September.
