Judi Love on how she made her mother laugh in her last moments
Judi Love, 42, joined Saturday Kitchen chef and presenter Matt Tebbutt on the weekend staple. When he asked her about landing her role on the ITV chatshow Loose Women, Judi joked about sharing the “behind the scenes juice” before Matt asked her if they all “fall out”. The comedian went on to explain the “sisterhood” the women have formed on the show.
“Tell me about Loose Women,” Matt, 49, requested as Judi assisted in chopping up some ingredients for a dish he was preparing.
Smirking, Judi joked “What do you want, the juice behind it?” The comment was a clear nod towards the rumoured rifts between the presenters.
Laughing, Matt asked: “Do you all fall out then?”, before Judi made clear she was joking.
“No, no, we’re absolutely lovely,” she replied. “I mean, look, I’m working with around 20 women who all have expertise in different areas – journalism, news reporting, acting.”
“Quite a formidable mob, as well,” Matt chimed as Judi agreed: “Yeah, a force to be reckoned with.”
She continued: “So I find that anything I need a bit of advice on, you know anything – buying houses, all kinds of different stuff – I can just go to any one of them and they’ve got some understanding and can educate me.
“So I think it’s great. They added to it and now they’ve got a comedian.
“And yeah, I love it. I mean, what better job than to go in, have a chit-chat with the girls get your makeup on?”
“Well that’s what it always looks like – like you’ve just all got together and it just happens to be in a studio,” Matt observed.
“Yeah, there’s a real sisterhood between us and I love it,” Judi explained.
“I love that we can explore different topics and we can have our own opinions and that’s OK.
“Even outside of Loose, how supportive we are to each other in different areas of our life, you know, and that’s really important. It says a lot about Loose Women in itself.”

“Yes, so could you sort of phone them up, are you in that sort of position?” Matt probed.
Judi enthused: “Yeah! Nadia [Sawalha], Jane [Moore], Charlene [White], Brenda [Edwards] – I’m always phoning one of them about something.
“You know, they’ve got children, they’ve done different things in their careers.
“And you know, I only started out some years ago on Loose Women and they’re just brilliant, I love them all.
“And a big squeeze from nanny Linda [Robson]. Oh, man, she’s lovely!”
“So when you got that call, how was it? Was it sort of a surprise? Was it was it terrifying?” Matt quizzed the panellist.
“I had a meeting with them and you just get calls all the time, don’t you? But I loved it and when I was walking through I saw all their desks and I was like, ‘Am I really walking through Loose Women?’
“And we had a great conversation. And I first went on as a guest and that was nerve-wracking alone.
“And I did that and I was so happy and enjoyed it, and then when they asked me to come and be a panellist, honestly I screamed!”
