Kit Harington describes working with wife again as 'daunting'
Kit Harington and Rose Leslie rose to fame after impressive performances on HBO’s worldwide sensation, Game of Thrones. As the pair got married off-screen during its run, Kit opened up about returning to screens with Rose and shared why he found it “daunting”.
Kit and Rose’s latest project comes after the two have slammed high street banks for working with fossil fuel companies in their new campaign.
The Game of Thrones stars appeared in the new Richard Curtis-founded Make My Money Matter campaign.
For the campaign video, the married couple put their relationship in the limelight as they portray a couple attending a relationship counselling session.
As they bicker about why Kit never posts about their relationship, it’s later revealed they are depicting the relationship between an oil company and a high street bank.
On Monday, Kit opened up about the campaign during an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
Recalling his statement in the video, host Susanna Reid said: “You say, ‘I would never do or talk about couple’s therapy publically because it would be career suicide.'”
She asked the actor: “Is that something you actually think?”
Kit responded “Do you know what? The couples therapy aspect of it wasn’t the most daunting.
“The most daunting side of it was acting with Rose again,” he confessed.
“We hadn’t acted together in 10 years and we didn’t know whether we’d be able to.
“I think after the first take she turned to me and said, ‘Are you going to do it like that?’ So that gives you a sense of her professionalism.”
As he laughed, Susanna questioned whether they found the scene “slightly awkward, weird and a bit spiky”.

Kit shared: “No, not really. Do you know what? I was actually really lovely.”
In the campaign video, Rose portrays the oil company and says: “He cares too much about what people think about him and it’s affecting our relationship.”
However, Kit playing the high street bank hits back: “There’s no way it’s affecting our relationship,” to which Rose responded: “It is.”
Kit continued: “I’m always there for her, I always put her first.”
“I want to believe that but I just don’t feel that,” Rose explained.
As the therapist asked the couple for more detail, the real depiction is quickly unveiled.
Rose says: “Whenever he speaks publicly or posts about anything on social media, he acts as if he’s a martyr. I mean, he believes that he’s saving the world.
“He is constantly boasting about the millions that he’s spending on green energy green.”
Kit argues: “See the green energy thing, what do you want me to do? Post about the billions I give you every year?”
