Caleb Milligan (William Ash) was recently Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi)’s night in shining armour in Emmerdale after dealing with nasty drug dealer Callum (Tom Ashley) when he was stalking her after being released from prison.
Leyla had previously taken Caleb into her confidence when she was worried about Callum coming after her and her family. His advice led her to try to pay Callum off, which resulted in her being bundled into Callum’s car boot and held hostage in a remote shed.
Still, maybe it wasn’t the advice to blame for this turn of events but the way she chose to interpret the advice. Before long Leyla was inviting the suave stud farm owner in for coffee and soon the village was abuzz with gossip that the two of them had spent the night together.
With scarcely time to reflect on this turn of events Leyla was soon dealing with the troubling knowledge that Callum had been released from prison on bail and it became apparent she was being watched.
She insisted to Caleb that she didn’t need his help as she was determined not to let her fear of Callum ruin her life and she knew she had to find the strength to deal with him. But as she entered the village hall Caleb was there to apprehend her stalker.
In the aftermath of this, Leyla once again spends the night with Caleb but worries whether she’s made the right decision.
Is he with her for the right reasons? And how much does she really know about him?
