Location, Location, Location presenters Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer were helping first-time buyers looking to buy in the Balham area of South London.
Kirstie, 50, was tasked with finding a property for couple Emily and Dustin, who wanted a second bedroom and valued outdoor space.
Meanwhile, Phil, 52, was hot on the search for couple Sarah and Ian, who were keen to stay in central Balham.
Most of the episode was concerned with their house-hunting searches, which left barely any time for the viewers to see the couples in their homes when Kirstie and Phil revisited them at the end of the episode.
One viewer criticised the end of the show, saying, “Couples revisited. Only find what happened in the last 15 minutes! #LocationLocationLocation.”

A second viewer said: “I still feel cheated when #locationlocationlocation revisits a house. It’s basically a repeat with a bit added on.”
“Definitely,” another viewer replied.
Location, Location, Location only caught up with the couples in the last fourteen minutes of the episode, and this didn’t seem to be enough time to please viewers.
To make matters worse, viewers also picked up on the fact that these were old house-hunting segments that were being revisited on Location, Location, Location.

“This is clearly quite an old episode of #locationlocationlocation when a 1 bed flat in Balham is listed at £275,000 with room for bargaining,” one viewer observed.
Wednesday’s episode was actually part of the show’s latest season, but Kirstie and Phil met the house-hunting couples in 2018 and 2009, respectively.
This marked a change in the show’s usual format.
Season 37 began with house-hunters attempting to navigate post-pandemic lifestyle changes in Newcastle and Northumberland, but episode 8 took viewers back in time.
Kirstie met Emily and Dustin, who were house-hunting on a tight six-week time frame in 2018. They had a budget of £350,000 which they eventually stretched to £400,000.
The flat Kirstie found for them eventually fell through, but when the presenters visited them again in 2020, the couple revealed they’d managed to find their dream home afterward.
Meanwhile, the show’s second couple, Sarah and Ian, were searching for their dream property, also in Balham, but back in 2009.
They found a flat that was to their liking but sold it in 2016, reinvesting the profits in a house in Tooting Beck.
Viewers were shocked to see a house-hunting segment that was more than a decade old though.
“Why is this property viewing ELEVEN YEARS OLD? #locationlocationlocation,” one viewer questioned.

The episode concluded by revisiting Sarah and Ian in their house in 2020, which they had extensively renovated.
