TV legend Lorraine Kelly was missing again from her show for a second day after being sent home by bosses on Wednesday.

The 63-year-old pulled out of her ITV breakfast show, moments before going on air in dramatic fashion after battling a "hideous bug".

As a result, ITV bosses were scrambling to find a last-minute replacement, bringing in Ranvir Singh to front the show.

And Lorraine missed the show again on Thursday, with Ranvir filling in for her.

Ranvir issued an update on Lorraine and how she’s doing during a crossover with Good Morning Britain.

Addressing Ranvir, Kate Garraway said: “She’s officially here today. Did you get a little more notice?

Ranvir quipped: “Lorraine is still recovering. I got here at 6:30am today – I should be prepared, as opposed to yesterday!"

The news of the last-minute line up was revealed on Wednesday, with Katie telling GMB viewers: “Usually at this point in the show we'd be chatting to Lorraine.

“But I think in almost a first in her 30-year-plus history, she's actually gone home, she's not well.

“She's got a bug! We're wishing you well Lorraine. Ranvir is to the rescue, she's on her way in.”

Lorraine also addressed her absence and took to Twitter to reveal that she had been sent home by bosses after being “attacked by a hideous bug.”

She wrote: “When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT! Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him !!!!!!”

Plenty of Lorraine’s fans and showbiz pals quickly sent their well wishes and support.

“Aww Just heard there from Kate so many bugs around. Get well Lorraine wish you a fast recovery – might be just a 48hr bug,” said one follower.

Singer Aled Jones penned: “Get well soon lovely x.”

“So sorry to hear that,” a third follower wrote.
