Love Island addresses missing ring after Dami Hope’s sweet gesture for Indiyah Polack

Love Island has addressed the issue of Dami Hope's ring apparently going missing after he packed it for Indiyah Polack in a sweet gesture, only for it to then seemingly fail to reach her in Casa Amor.

The boys had been tasked with packing a suitcase for the girls they are partnered up with, and many of them decided to put something special in their partner's bag to let them know they'd be thinking of them.

However, when the girls unpacked, Indiyah, 23, was left upset after she seemingly had nothing special from Dami, 26, despite viewers seeing him pack it in the main villa.

This left the show's fans wondering if producers had tampered with the cases to stir up drama.

Venting their frustration on Twitter one viewer wrote: “Wait did the producers remove the ring Dami put for Indiyah????”

Someone else wrote: “I thought Dami gave Indiyah his ring??? Wtf??? #loveisland have you set something up because this looks fishy."

It appears it was all a misunderstanding, however, as on Monday night's episode of the show, Indiyah announced that she had found the ring.

As the girls got ready, Indiyah sparked cheers in the dressing room as she excitedly said: "No, that's actually made my day. I thought he wouldn't pack anything."

She then held the ring up in the air and said jubilantly: "We got a ring girls!"

Unfortunately, in the time it took Indiyah to find Dami's ring, the Irish contestant had already kissed another girl.

Dami wasted no time in getting to know the new girls in the villa – specifically Summer Botwe, 22, who he shared a steamy smooch on the terrace with during Monday night's episode.

The scene left fans begging producers to send in the infamous postcard now, to reveal Dami's actions to Indiyah.

In Casa Amor, newcomer Deji Adeniyi, 25, has expressed an interest in Indiyah, and whilst she's still 'open' to meeting someone, the duo definitely haven't rushed things.

Tweeting about the matter, one fan wrote: "Indiyah and Deji exploring things respectfully, meanwhile that hammerhead Dami is behaving anyhow. Pls. Drop the postcard so my good Jamaican sis can be free of that fantastic fool."

Someone else wrote: "The postcards episode going to be crazy for dami, poor indiyah excited about a ring meanwhile he’s doing madness."

Dami and Summer weren't the only ones to get cosy in the main villa, as Tasha's partner Andrew Le Page, 27, shared a kiss with newcomer Coco Lodge, and Davide Sanclimenti, 27, smooched Coco and Mollie Salmon, 23.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
